Co-Founder, Business Development

With over 25 years experience in the Geospatial industry, Crystal brings both technical and project management expertise to the company. She’s a problem solver with a passion for quality, and a life-long learner. She holds professional certifications in photogrammetry (CP), GIS (GISP), project management (PMP), and a black belt in Lean Six Sigma.

Co-Founder, Operations Management

Cara brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from her many years in the Geospatial industry, contributing to projects of all sizes, with a focus on Federal Programs. With experience in both project and operations management, she is able to coordinate all aspects of a project. She has a passion for growing project teams that prioritize quality products utilizing efficient workflows.

Riot Geospatial was founded in 2024 by Crystal and Cara after many years of professional experience in the geospatial sector working for industry leading companies. Both Crystal and Cara started in technical roles processing orthoimagery, lidar, CADD and GIS projects. They have been in the trenches doing the good work and understand the challenges and pain points that exist. Their focus on quality and efficiency drove them to excel in their roles and represent these companies as managers. Managing large contracts and creating project teams allowed them to better analyze what the client was looking for, the best way to train the team and how to meld the two for the most efficient workflows. They are responsible for creating quality programs, and outstanding teams that have led to large, successful projects for organizations such as USACE, NGA, USGS and various local and State government agencies, including DOTs.

Both Crystal and Cara are students of Lean Six Sigma, a leading process improvement methodology used worldwide in the manufacturing and healthcare industries. They know how to apply those proven methods to the geospatial industry and use them to deliver top-quality products and customer service.
